Since 1990, Cambodia has experienced an average annual growth rate of all vehicles of 16.7%. The average growth rate of light duty vehicles reached 31.3%.

For light and heavy-duty vehicles (excluding motorcycles) those considered newer vehicles, i.e. those being produced in the most recent three model years, comprise approximately 1/3 of the total vehicles registered. This is a marked improvement since the introduction of ASEAN-built models in recent years.
